Save the dates! The Astoria-Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce produces four annual community events.
There are events in Astoria and Warrenton year-round ranging in live music and other stage performances to festivals that draw thousands of people, educational lecture series and poetry readings by fishermen. Visit our community events calendar for a complete list of activities.
UnWined
Held annually in March.
Sip & savor award-winning wine during this event, which occurs immediately following the official wine competition for the Astoria Warrenton Crab, Seafood & Wine Festival. Attendees will have the opportunity to taste Oregon reds, whites, rosés, sparkling, fruits and more.
This is a 21 and older event. Attendees receive a souvenir UnWined glass, ten wine samples (additional samples available for purchase), complimentary heavy appetizers, live music, and you'll be the first to know the "Best of Show" winners!

Astoria Warrenton Crab, Seafood & Wine Festival
Held annually in April, on the last full weekend.
The communities of Astoria and Warrenton celebrate the bounty of the Pacific Ocean at the annual Astoria Warrenton Crab, Seafood and Wine Festival. This award-winning event features the authentic flavors of Oregon’s North Coast, as well as trend-setting artisan producers and Oregon-based wineries. About 12,000 people and 150 vendors attend the event each year.

Independence Day Fireworks
July 4
Fourth of July fun for the whole family in Astoria and Warrenton!
The Astoria-Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce, Hyak Tongue Point, Van Dusen Beverages and nearly 20 local corporate partners have come together to produce the annual 4th of July fireworks display. They will be shot from a barge in the river near downtown Astoria to provide many vantage points.
Enjoy old-fashioned family fun in Warrenton during the day with a parade, kid's activities and barbecue.
Don't miss out on the free concert by North Coast Symphonic Band at the Liberty Theatre, typically held on July 3.

Great Columbia Crossing 10K Run/Walk
Held annually in October, typically on the second Sunday. (It can vary as we schedule not to overlap with the Portland Marathon.)
Experience the glory of the Columbia River as you trek across the Astoria-Megler Bridge during this unique opportunity to walk/run across the bridge! This 10K offers a scenic adventure on a fairly flat road with one STEEP incline to the peak of the bridge. It is the longest continuous truss bridge in North America.
Whether you're an experienced runner or looking for a family-friendly event, the Great Columbia Crossing 10K appeals to everyone. See you on the bridge!

Annual Crab Feed
January *
Date depends on commercial crab season and catch.
Organized by the Warrenton Deep Sea Fishermen's Benefit Fund, to fundraise for their emergency fund to help fishermen and their families.
Stout Month
February
February has been Stout Month in the Astoria area ever since Fort George opened its doors in 2007 and they welcome other businesses to join in the celebration of stout beers. Many tap handles across the region pour a little darker this time of year.
FisherPoets Gathering
February
A celebration of the commercial fishing industry in poetry, prose and song, the Gathering has attracted fisherpoets and their many fans to Astoria, Oregon the last weekend of February since 1998.
Run on the River
May
Astoria's premiere half marathon, 10k, and 5k. Enjoy a run around the Astoria River Walk and help raise funds for Astoria Parks and Recreation scholarships.
Tenor Guitar Gathering
June
This event gave Astoria the title of Tenor Guitar Capital of the World. The Gatherings attract top tenor guitar players from around the country to give workshops, join in jam sessions, and hold well-attended concerts
Astoria Pride Festival
June
In 2016, the LCQC held the first annual Astoria Pride. Since that time, Astoria Pride has grown into a bigger, better, and more fierce advocacy, awareness, and community event.
Scandinavian Midsummer Festival
June
The Astoria Scandinavian Midsummer Festival has been a tradition for over fifty years. During the three days of the festival, musical, dance, and theater groups entertain, and vendors offer authentic foods and gifts.
Independence Day Celebrations

Shanghaied in Astoria

Shanghaied In Astoria is a musical melodrama - an annual celebration of local history with a fun, humorous twist. The Astor Street Opry Co. also hosts other productions and events throughout the year.
Astoria Regatta Festival
August
As one of the oldest festivals west of the Rockies, the Regatta is a celebration of the Northwest’s maritime history and future.
Astoria International Film Festival
October
Dedicated to bringing independent filmmakers from around the world and their work to an appreciative audience. AIFF features films that are captivating; where the director offers compelling subjects, stories and cinematography.
Plaid Friday & Discover Downtown
November to December
Plaid Friday is the idea of weaving independent businesses together to create a strong fabric that celebrates small downtown businesses. Look for extra activities happening while you shop downtown this holiday season.
Holiday Events

Many events take place in the area to celebrate the Christmas holiday season including concerts, plum pudding and tea at the Flavel House, performances of The Nutcracker, and appearances from Santa Claus.
